It gives me great pleasure to introduce myself to you as the president of FASS. We are here to promote French language and culture in the southern area of Sydney to native French speakers and those who aren't but just love learning the language and having the opportunity to enjoy the company of others with the same passion. We have many families who enjoy the benefits of their children either being introduced to French or maintain their French heritage by meeting with other French families regularly or by using classes that are available.
Our activities are in full health and the pleasure of speaking French sees us meeting together regularly. The Playgroup has never been so alive, the book club so active and the last movie night so popular. The committee is always listening to our members, and we are ready to try anything new such as to promote French speaking only events.
In the past we have had many popular social events with guest speakers, a visit to ANSTO, a history tour of La Perouse and a presentation about La Reunion by Air Austral. Crepes always bring out the crowds and along with the regular events like the bushwalks and movie nights there is something for everyone.
Recently FASS was able to host a student doing a university internship from France. He produced this website design during his stay. Others from overseas have been welcomed and helped to 'find their feet' in a foreign country by generous members able to help out. Please make contact with us and join the French Revolution in the south.
